due to circumstances beyond my control we had to travel to this rally in the car...on Monday 11th May I had spine surgery which meant I would no longer ride a scooter over any distance until at least the end of August!!..it may be longer!!..I was advised not to drive for at least six weeks too...so Di - who wasn't originally coming with Jack and me - took us in her car... so there you have it...first Euro rally I've done in a car - and I've done a few...

if ever you have to travel over to mainland Europe - and the sun is shining - this is the only way to do it...roof down in a beautiful Golf Cabriolet...
