Thursday night we camped just outside Calais...really nice campsite for six Euro per person a night...

just out of the shower so it's time to find a local takeaway and grab some scoff...

it's actually not as dark as the Coolpix makes out...

just shit photography...

Friday morning and it's time to give that tyre a kick...a change of camera too...

news is bad... it looks like it needs pumping up again...

at least the sun's out...

leave the tent there a bit to air out...

having moved to sturdier ground it's just not having it...

the plug that got me this far yesterday just isn't holding...

Di's getting a bit side tracked...

much better with the door shut...

and I still have the tent to get down...

at this point I've decided to try and plug it again...

although it seems to have held again I've decided to ring the RAC and see if they can locate me a local Piaggio dealer so I can get a new tyre...after about 45 minutes I finally managed to get the guy on the other end to understand that I didn't need recovering and I could get to a Piaggio dealer under my own steam...they texted me an address in Calais that I could not make head nor tail of so I thought f*ck it and carried on to Amiens...

this is around 25 mile from Amiens...I had to stop for fuel as there were no bars on the fuel gauge and the warning light had been on for 25 miles...I also checked the tyre pressure and it was still on 2 bar...result...

four miles later and another puncture...no not the same one gone down again but another hole...now being a master with the plug kit it was done in minutes...

smack bang in the middle of nowhere...

as a matter of fact very near to where I broke an exhaust four years ago...

hey...around 20 miles left to do so nothing can get me down now...

all that's left to do now is pump it up...Amiens here we come...
