starting mileage (km)...

unlike with the GTS that has trip mileage I have to do a start and finish to see the total...

used the Nikon A900 but took this with the D3100 before I left...

Thursday night and a mad dash to get things sorted for a 04:00 start...

all fueled up...including a 5 litre backup...

tent and sleeping bag...check...don't expect rain so no plastic bags...

could have been easy to have gone on the GTS but hey...

fully laden...sleeping bag moved to the back...

just gone 04:00... street lights still on...

and with the flash...

time to start rolling...

bit lighter now...Northampton services...

had to get something to eat as I needed to take a Ibuprofen for pain relief on a swollen foot...

no...I didn't have a raspberry ripple...

can make South Mimms as a first stop on the GTS...second stop on the PX...

big queue and I'm running a little late...

somehow managed to get right to the front!!..

let's get those straps off and get off this tub...
