Normally I would travel up to Kelso on the Thursday night...camping just outside Carlisle and continuing my journey up on Friday morning...this year however I decided on an early start Friday...04:00 to be precise...catching up with Jack who travelled up on Thursday...the main reason behind this is I'm off to St Tropez for Vespa World Days on Monday and didn't really fancy another night in a tent...

somewhere north of Manchester...well on target to be in Kelso before 12:00...

stopping off at McDonalds on J44 of the M6...took this with my Samsung S5...

had to wait for around half hour for Jack to get his tent down and join me...

still early...have around four hours to do the last 60 miles or so to Kelso...

Sainsbury's in Kelso...had a breakfast here...

van fest or scooter rally!!..disgraceful...and the thing is these people have no shame...

at least some people have arrived on scooters...
