the return journey home turned into a bit of a nightmare...the two nut's holding the exhaust manifold on worked loose causing a multitude of problems...I'm going to guess that water ingress left by the gap between the manifold and the head f*ck*d the "lambda" sensor up...and typically on an ABS-ASR model the GTS went into limp mode and kept dropping below 50 mph...

absolutely soaked through to my skin this is where I left it and waited for recovery...the rain was that heavy the mitts were no good at all...

the first of the three guys to relay me back home...

it didn't stop raining all day...

finally getting home in the early hours of the morning...

not really anything to do with removing the exhaust manifold...just checking that a swingarm removing tool I had made fits...and it does...

just the manifold to remove now...

this had to be replaced...as you can see the holes on the bracket have become elongated...

I thought about trying to clean this after I refitted it in the new manifold and still had a problem...but a new one from s.i.p. at a third of the price of one sourced here in the UK was a no brainer...

I'm lucky I have a diagnostic tool...this could have cost a fortune...this error was a b*st*rd to remove...there were also error's recorded on the ABS sensor & lambda probe but the diagnostic tool cleared those...

but every time I started the engine back up the lambda error returned...it was at this point I ordered the new lambda sensor...

with the help of "FXTUL" and their marvelous programers sending me two system updates in two days I've finally got rid of the P160708 error...just need to clear the lambda probe error now...

new lambda fitted and jobs a gud un...imagine the expense had I took it to a dealer!!..
