I always look forward to the first National rally of the year...I don't always look forward to it being Scarborough...or Whitby come to that...but...as it's the first national of the year I always feel obliged to go...

So...with the scooter packed...and it's pissing down...onward and forward...

took this with my S4...and I left the clip on the boot of my car...

everything is new...new helmet...bought that last autumn...new coat...new trousers and new gloves...

now to see how water resistant they all are...

first stop for fuel...M1 services just north of j28...took this one with my S4...

see how much shit there is on the exhaust compared to the first picture...weather was awful...

Jack's done well...just about a fiver in the tank to here is very good...

have to tell you...new gear is working well...I'm still dry...cold but dry...have to buy better thermals...

tent up...time to get washed & changed and then a taxi into town...I had to put that board down...the ground wouldn't even hold the weight of Jack's PX...
