the early hours of Wednesday morning...scooter loaded and it's time to leave...

ferry is booked for 08:00 so a 02:00 start is the order of the day...

first stop for fuel is Northampton services...

riding full throttle means stopping every 50 miles for fuel...

second stop South Mimms...

Di's doing better mpg in the Beetle than I am on the PX...

fourth and final stop before the ferry...also time for a hot chocolate...

only scooter on the ferry...

not many times I turn up here and the scooter is still this clean...

unusually they kept the bikes hanging around while they loaded the cars!!..very unusual...
