as this isn't a mega journey I decided a long time ago we could possibly do this in two days...throwing caution to the wind I finally decided on three days...
so here we are...first stop on this journey is Ghent...

trying to work out where the hotel was and we were right outside it...oops...

showered and a change of clothes and we're off down town for something to eat...well wicked paint scheme on this house...

couldn't take my eyes off the house...Di would have loved it...

we have canals in the Black Country too...

they don't quite look like this though...

and I don't remember ever seeing a castle alongside one...

and they're certainly not this clean...

lot's of young people just hanging around...didn't catch one whiff of dope...

we're actually looking for food but you just have to take all this in...

tram lines as well...it's just like being back home in the Black Country...not...

that place just looks too posh for us...

you guessed it...we found the local Indian restaurant...
