view from my hotel room...left all that on the scooter overnight...
it was nice that I managed to leave the scooter so close to reception...
fully loaded and time to get going...
need to find a fuel station that has E5 petrol...the can is full but the tank is nearly empty...
didn't manage to get any fuel...only station in town didn't have any E5...
came here last night with the "Dirty Mills SC" but I didn't have a camera with me so I thought I would get a few shots before I headed off...
this wasn't originally my first stop on the way to Millport but as the bench had only been installed a few days earlier I thought I would take the opportunity to see it...
the bench is dedicated to Di's uncle Billy who sadly passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last year...and just a few days before he was due to receive an award from the Queen...
a lovely gesture to a very lovely man...
it's situated on the promenade in Prestwick just a stones throw away from his home and less than a stones throw from the sea wall...
the complex where Billy lived...
this is the view he had...stunning...
this is the view from his bench...probably much better without my scooter in the way...
finally made it to the ferry port and as the ferry runs about every half hour I didn't have to wait long to get on board...I was boarded as soon as I got my ticket...
no need for a bar on this crossing...just stand by your scooter for the 15 minute crossing...
Royal Alloy's are very popular in this part of the world...
yes...that's where we're heading...just a few hundred yards off the Scottish coast is the beautiful island of Cumbrae...
the Scottish coastline looking absolutely stunning...
