just a few pictures to show how easy it is to repair a stator plate...and you don't need to buy the ready made kits...

 

to be fair this didn't need repairing...just modifying...it came with a scooter I bought in bit's and the engine wasn't the right engine for the frame....

 

and as you can see spades from the lighting coils that are fitted to the earlier models rather than "Molex" connectors and plug!!..

 

so it's into the radio shack and out with all the bits to change it over to the later style connecter...8 amp single core cable from Halfords...

 

and there you have it...crimper...pliers...solder sucker & wire stripper...

 

and of course a solder iron...

 

stator end tinned in situ...much easier that way...

 

black and blue de-soldered from stator...

 

new wires soldered in place...on later models the CDi earth and the lighting earth are on the same terminal...not on this one...made this easier...

 

neat or what!!..very professional...

 

amazing how easy it is with all the proper tools...took around half an hour...
